But only one of these doors, the one on the right. We couldn't fit 2 in the doorway. I love it!

If you click on the picture you can see it clearer.

Bugger

Oh bugger. I just deleted the previous post about colours accidently. Oh well, will try to remember what I said.
I never thought that choosing colours would be so damn difficult. Thank goodness I had my Homeone buddy Bel to help me out. We both had the same ideas for colours and were both only able to choose from Taubmans Colour charts and then that was narrowed down to a Builder's Standard list. Very bloomin narrow indeed. Pain in the right proverbial. Bel saved the day (clap clap clap) and we ended up with Moon River and White Smoke... I have put up a new pic so you can see. Very hard to capture true colours in the light and the exterior colours seem a little darker than true. Have gone with Maple stained glass door called Sunburst. Now that will be a challenge to try to post a pic of that. Also have chosen the maple stained stair railing with stainless steel upright thingos??baulstrades??? We intend to choose a mushroomy chocolatey type colour carpet. Should all blend nicely I hope. Neutral all the way. The colour fReAk in me will resurface as soon as it's safe to do so...not to mention the Red Buff glass splashback I am planning on for the kitchen....see I TOLD YOU...CAN'T HELP MYSELF. Wowza yowza. Its similar 'to the colour of dark red wine, which I don't really drink but I will be drunk on the colour let me tell ya'! You could almost dive and drown in that colour. mmmmm. Now let me see if I can post that door in a pic...

No objections

It appears that there have been no objections to our plans. ppphhewww!! Hopefully that means that Council approval will be soon. Big move is next Thursday. We all went to the rental this afternoon, even the dog, and it seems that it will be fine for us. We just adore the big deck off the back, we havn't had that before so I guess we can get used to using it so we will be ready for our own Al fresco area off the new house.
I have a bathroom cupboard sample now so I will change the photo again and add it in. It was called Snowdrift. (I knew there was a 'snow' something somewhere.) I cannot count on my hands and toes the number of people that have said "What happened to your fence? Was it an acccident?"(Zip it JB!- sorry personal joke there). I would like to say that one of my Homeone buddies is having a dreadful time at present in regards to her home build. I wish her all the best and hope that it works out ok for her. :) Thinking of you bel.

Original Purchase

I thought it might be an idea to add a photo of the Original Purchase 12 years ago. It's had a few nips and tucks and been tarted up on the outside but is looking very tired again (mmm sounds familiar). I must say that the Real Estate signs were much more subdued back then weren't they? They are quite in your face these days. If you click on the photo it will be clearer. It's a photo of a photo, so bad quality I'm afraid.

So it begins...

12 March, 2009
This is my first attempt at 'blogging' so excuse me for any mishaps.
I was wondering exactly when I should begin this blog. I have put it off and off because I was undecided about when the actual 'build' starts? Is it when you pay the deposit, is it when the plans are submitted to Council or is it when the first brick is put down?
Now seems as good as a time as any I suppose.
Excuse me while I find out how to post a photo here... Oh yes I think it worked. Hooray.
Someone said it looked like I backed over the fence huh! mmm not sure about that comment...
