Go on have a listen

You know you want to. You can dance, I can't see you.
Put your handbags in the middle and dance around them. (Why did we do that? To keep us from straying all around the dancefloor. I guess so nobody knicked them?)
The video is a laugh in itself.....click on the triangle on the screen and crank up the volume.
(Don't put your back out!)
Yes you can thank me later for showing you the Kareoke version, just in case, yes just in case you would like to sing along and are too young to know the words or too old to remember them...bahaha.

Funky town (music video) lyrics

Funky town

Well here it is FINALLY, the DD (dear daughter) has chosen a light! Hallelujah! My o my.
(Not a bad choice either I might say with a slight* snicker snicker *).
That reflection extends over the whole room - VERY funkytown...very.
Won't you take me to aaahhh afunkytown..won't you take to ahh funkytown. Oops, I digress.

Managed to get the "non living" room into a "living" room of some sorts anyway.
Not my ideal room but still has a nice feel to it. The old leather lounge has been abandoned here and it seemed so forlorn by itself. I ended up dragging the "to be ebay'ed" cabinet BACK inside (can you believe it she says screaming and hands in the air, BACK inside) and I tell you what, it doesn't look too bad. (If I may say so myself) . Of course, real blinds would be nice. A rug would define the area and some wall art would be just delightful. Will take a pic with the blinds up, so much better but passersby can see straight in. *shocked straight staring face inserted here*

By the way the cushions say "Relax" and give a definition of the word. I saw DD with her feet up totally obeying the instructions. Let's insert another *scream* here shall we?

Feast your eyes on these brom babies. Don't look too long or I may have to charge you for your viewing pleasure.

Been playing in the garden, just a bit.

Lalalalalalalala.....

Yes DD was in one of those very PURPLE T shirts singing her little lungs out...it was a truly wonderful experince. SO very professional, and the orchestra were exquisite. Oh, and that conductor, well, if there was no choir and orchestra he would have had us all spell bound anyway.
He had 750+ children sit and stand in SILENCE at the single wave of a hand. Magical. More than a conductor, he was a magician. (and a great dancer, hehehe). The music flowed through his fingertips to the children, don't know how. As I said, a Magician. You can always tell someone's passion, it's within them, but it glows on the outside for all to see.
If you click on the photo you will see DD in the first row of the top centre section. First row, 8th from the left...

A little bit of a wind problem

Mmmm, well we had a bit of a wind problem last night. No not that kind of wind *rolling eyes here*. Goodness me if you had a gust of 110km's coming out your bottom it would be more than a little bit of a problem I would think? Oh, gee let's not even go there.
No, it seems that there was a gusty low pressure system and boy oh boy did we cop it. We are all bleary eyed today after only a few hours sleep due to the noise and worry of what was happening outside. I somehow neglected to take a photo of our big netted trampoline that ended up doing a pirouette across the backyard but luckily didn't manage to execute the leap over the back fence. Needless to say a 2am look out the window found it up ended and in the arms of the Murraya hedge along the back fence. Knew I had good reason to plant that hedge 12 years ago.
It is a little "bent" now, but still functions. Guess it's life as a ballerina was short. A few plants went to the Garden in the sky as well. Damn.
It was a good test for the new house and it survived. Hip hip hooray. Also a good test for the Privacy Screen, and it seems it didn't move a bit.

Ok, so I have just take a few snaps of things that made me look twice this week.

I just love the way the sun shines through the white blinds in the morning it joins the palm and the Chocolate pot for a group hug. I love this corner. Weird I know.

I was also taken smitten by the way these pink uggs and the chocolate tones went together. I seem to be liking that PINK a bit. Would love to use it as an accent colour in one of the spare rooms maybe. When the sun shines on the Cyclamen in the mornings it almost glows.
Hence the colour Cyclamen Pink.

That's all the trivia for today. Had my little dose of chit chat, and a feeling the lack of ZZZ's from lastt nights whirlwind. A PINK goodnight to you.
